And let's not forget the wonderful bike rides that can be done in the surrounding area...
San Bartolomeois a small reality located on the hills overlooking the town of Salò.
A few steps from the Commisseria there is a delightful Romanesque church.
Always a few steps a trattoria with typical cuisine of the territory, managed in a family way.
One of the cycle paths that connect Salò with Limone and the upper lake passes in front of the entrance to the garden, beyond the wonderful hinterland of the western Gardesana coast.
A few minutes' drive away we find Salò, overlooking a scenic gulf bordered by a pedestrian Lakeside. In addition to bars and restaurants for every taste, the characteristic central street is lined with shops of all kinds. There is no shortage of places of art and culture such as the Duomo and the Museum of the City and events such as the International Violin Festival.
Also just a few minutes from the Commisseria is the "garden city" of Gardone Riviera, with the lush Botanical Garden-Andrè Heller Foundation where the experience of uniting the art with nature. And the Vittoriale degli Italiani, the final resting place of Gabriele d'Annunzio, where it is possible to get lost in the house-museum and enjoy the high-level musical events scheduled in the summer season.
In front of Gardone Riviera you can see the Garda Island with its lush vegetation, its Venetian neo-Gothic style villa and the Italian gardens sloping down to the lake.
In the 35 kilometers from Salò to Limone, along the coast, the landscape is characterized by the historic Limonaie del Garda where, until the early 1900s, lemons were grown and exported throughout Europe.
The Garda hinterland is characterized by the significant presence of olive groves, for the production of D.O.P. olive oil, and vineyards which give us excellent wines such as Chiaretto del Garda and Lugana.
Brescia is the closest city. Its monuments from the Roman and Lombard era - the monumental area of the Roman Forum and the monastic complex of Santa Giulia - have been declared a world heritage site by UNESCO.
Also worth a visit are the Old and New Cathedrals, Piazza della Loggia, the Broletto, the Castle and the recently refurbished Art Gallery. Brescia is also known for the Mille Miglia vintage car race.

The Stone Bridge, from the Roman era, connects the Roman Theater with the historic center and the Castelvecchio, reachable via the Scaligero Bridge, where you can visit the museum.
