The location and the company

Nature has been generous with our territory providing it with an unrepeatable landscape.
The hamlet of San Bartolomeo enjoys unparalleled tranquility, immersed in vegetation to be experienced in every season.

Holiday home in Salò

The company is located in the hamlet of San Bartolomeo, 500 m above sea level, on the hills above and a few kilometers from the town of Salò.
The hamlet of San Bartolomeo is made up of a few homes and around 20 residents.

It is a place surrounded by nature and the only traffic comes from tourists who love walking and cycling. In addition to the delightful Romanesque church, a few steps from the Commisseria, only pure silence remains! In 1904 the main family house became the property of my great-grandfather when, having returned from Argentina, he purchased it as a country house (it dates back to around 1600) together with a large part of the surrounding area. My great-grandfather fell in love with that landscape, the splendid and wide view of Lake Garda and the tranquility of the place. At first he arrived there with a mule and later with a car specially made by Fiat. My father, with passion and dedication, bought back part of the land over the years to reunite the property which, over time, had been divided among the heirs.

The landscape has remained as it was then! This house was also owned by my great-grandfather and is called "the Commisseria". I did research to understand the origin of its name but we don't know where it comes from or what it means. It seemed right to leave it this beautiful name... With the renovation we saw that on the front, there was a manger used by local farmers and for the livestock that were raised. It was transformed into a home by my grandfather and now into a farmhouse by me. The farmhouse is part of Riccardo Simonini's "I tre Fratelli" agricultural company, a recent name that recalls three large rocks located in the company's territory. But it also calls to mind my three children... The company, founded with my father, was involved in livestock breeding and, over time, we transformed an old chestnut grove into a chestnut farm, planted a truffle grove and a small orchard. The property also consists of meadows, pastures and woods. From cleaning the latter we obtain wood to heat the family home.
